11 Month Son, Coughing, Green Mucus, Difficulty In Breathing, Recurring. Diagnosed With Bronchitis. Cause?
Hi. My 11mnth old son is always coughing & nose is always full of green mucus causing him to struggle to breath properly. Just when he gets better it starts again all over. 3wks ago a dr diagnosed him with a touch bronchitis & now it seems he is slowly getting back there but with a fever included. Its been months since he has been perfectly healthy. What could be the cause of this reocurring illness? Sorry doc i never realised i had to pay for an answer & cannot afford the services, sorry to waste yours & my time. Bye
Hi, Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic. Persistent cold and cough in infants is due to repeated episodes of viral infections. For nose block, you can put some saline nasal drops in nostril and clean them with a soft cloth one by one. You can use a soft silicon mucus sucker as per the instructions from a doctor to remove thick mucus from nostrils. Consult the pediatrician for clinical examination and for prescription of medication for his cold and cough. Hope I have answered your query. Regards.
