2 Year Kid, Fever, Running Nose, Cough And Cold. Taking Medication, Not Recovery. Advice?

My Kid who is 2 years old has fever (101-104) over the past 4 days with running nose, cough & cold. We visited the paed. on day 1 and day 3 who said that it is due to a viral infection and prescribed Calpol 250(every 4-6) hrs, Asthalin and Advent and asked to chk for couple more days. It is Day 5 now the temperature which was about 98 last eveing shot to 103.7 now. Kid has very little solid/liquid food intake. Pls advise.

Hi,
your child might be having bacterial infection as temperature continued after 4-5 days.
He requires higher antibiotic medicine course.
Go for blood check up.
Consult your pediatrician and get examined as soon as possible to prevenytcomplication like Pneumonitis.
Give enough water and liquid diet to prevent dehydration and bringing temperature down.
Ok and take care.
