22 Month Kid, Redness In Eyes With Puss, Runny Nose, Dry Cough, Crying Frequently. Advice?
Hi, My Daughter is 22months old, two days ago eyes had a redness in the right eye and puss coming out,the next day the left eye was the same and one moment her nose is runny, the next its a thick green mucus coming out of her nose, she has a dry cough and its the third day now, should i be worried and should i get her to a doctor? when she wakes up in the morning her eyes are closed and i have to wipe it out with with a warm cloth. I received ointments over the counter but no improvement. Im alone with her and have to leave the house during the day and she has to travel with me, does this stop her from getting better. She not herself and most of the time cry for just about anything which is unlike her. She also rubes her eyes a lot. Any advice please?
Hi, It seems that your daughter might have Muco-purulant conjunctivitis with upper respiratory tract infection. Clean her eyes with warm water with cotton. Put antibiotic eye drops every 2-3 hourly. give some decongestant, analgesic syrup for pain in eyes and nasal congestion. Go for one antibiotic syrup course after consulting your doctor. Ok and take care.
