3 Year Old Having High Fever. Given Calpol. Had A Doubtful Seizure. What Are The Future Measures To Be Taken?

hi my daughter just 3 yrs old had fever b/n 99 to 100degree celcius was given calpol 12mg 5ml at 1 p.m. in the noon again at 7 p.m. but fever was throughout the same suddenly at 8 p.m. she did not repond to my call was staring at the window immediately rushed to the hopital was admitted with doubtul seizure. my querry is what precaution shold I take in future

Hello....
If your child have tendency for febrile convulsion, upto 5 to 6 yr you have take care whenever she suffer from fever,
Most of time fever is viral and it will recover with supportive medicine.
Some time viral fever takes 5 to 6 days to settle,

I would Advice:
1.Take medicine which already proscribed your doctor.
2.If Fever >102 F, you should get her evaluated once for her complaint to get her examined
physically by a pediatrician.
3.If necessary do investigation,( Fever profile )
4.Keep your baby Hydrate (Sugar 4 tsf+ salt 1/2 tsf+ 1/2 liter water, Fresh fruit juice, coconut water
etc )
5.Cold sponging.
