4 Year Old, Blue Raised Bump On Left Eyebrow, Fell Down. What Care Should Be Taken?

Im hoping a pediatrician can help. My four year old fell on bathroom tile and has a blue, raised bump on her left eyebrow, near her temple. Her pupils are the same size, not dialated. When it happened she emediately cried and told me what happened. She is now laying down with frozen vegetables on the bump. What should I look for in the next few hours? What should she do and not do today? Thank u!!

Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

The application of the cold vegetables would help reduce the swelling, pain and subsequent possible scar.

In head injury there are certain criteria which determine whether a child or adult need a CT scan:(1) headache (2) vomiting (3) age over 60 (4) memory loss (5) seizure (6) drug or alcohol use

It is not likely that she should need imaging. You can monitor for any vomiting or headache (intially after she should feel pain but most of this should resolve) , if this happens then you should take her to see her doctor.

I hope this helps
