4 Year Old With Barking Cough, Kindly Suggest The Remedies

I have a 4 year old who had common cold symptoms beginning over two weeks ago and ran fever for 2 days. seemed to get better except lingering cough. now his cough seems to be getting worse. barking sound/deep in chest. but no other symptoms and no temperature.

Hi,

He must be having post nasal drip following common cold, which is quite common after an attack of cold. Encourage your child to take plenty of warm water and use saline nasal drops 2 drops 3-4 times/day. If the symptoms does not relieve in couple of days please consult a good ENT specialist/a paediatrician.
