46 Year Old Stiffness And Soreness In The Hand Knuckles. Due To Lifting Weights Or Arthritis?
Hello, over the last year or so I have a lot of stiffness and soreness in the morning with my hands and especially knuckles, specifically my left pinky and ring finger joints; subsides during the day but really stiff and sore in the morning, I feel like I'm too young to have arthritis, I'm 46 and in good shape, could it be from lifting weights, which I have done most of my life...
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The stiffness and soreness in the knuckles is more likely to be due to arthritis rather than due to lifting weights. This needs oral pain killers and a regular hot fomentation for relief. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. Regards, Dr. Praveen Tayal , drtayal72@gmail.com
