5 Year Old, Bumps On Head, Pus Oozing When Squeezed. Scalp Bleeding After Scratching Dandruff. Infection?

5 year old female daughter with bumps on head that pop easily when touched, filled with pus, then falls of leaving a bloody hole on the scalp. I always braid her own hair. What could it be? I have used different oils and shampoos in the past to try to get rid of dandruff for her and her sisters. Her dandruff is not bad when I tried to scratch the dandruff off in the past her scalp bled easily so I stopped. Have I caused her this infection? Should I stop braiding her hair?

If you noticed pus, then there is infection. I don't believe you have to stop braiding her hair. Nor do I believe that braiding her hair caused the infection. But it is worth having it looked at by your doctor in case it needs to be treated.
