51, Less Strength In Muscles, Arms Paining While Sleeping, Difficulty In Lifting Weight. Any Ideas?

Good Evening,
I am almost 51. I have always had good strength in my upper arms, in my triceps and in my shoulders. Suddenly about three months ago I noticed a lack of strength, then while sleeping, my arms become painful when they are placed in a certain position. Now, I can only lift about 15 pounds without pain. Any idea??? Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, You are almost 51, good health and strength, suddenly 3 months ago noticed lack of strength, and painful upper limbs.
It appears to be the sudden entry of hypertension, diabetis, or cervical spondylosis, fibromyalgia etc.
I advise you to consult a physician for diagnosis and treatment. You may need to have M.R.I.besides other routine tests for confirmation. Thank you.
