7 Year Son, Rash On Shoulder, Belly, Chest, Itching. Taking Medication For Sore Legs. Suggestions?

My 7 yo son has had a rash for 8 or 9 days... at first it was reddish and minorly itchy, and covering his back. It is now not really itchy at all, but continues to creep up to his shoulders, around his belly and chest. The bumps are small--pinhead sized, flesh colored and seem to be in clusters. There is no ring effect or red raised irritations. We have not had any recent changes in the household. He takes no medications outside acetaminophen or ibuprofen for sore legs/growing pains.

Hi Dear

As you have described the symptoms, It all gives me a picture of a parasitic disease called as Scabies.

Exact spot diagnosis can be made by the dermatologist on local examination.

This is a contageous problem, spreads from family members,Hotel linens. house helps etc.

Permethirin preperation local application may eradicate the problem with consultation of dermatologist.

Daily clothes to be changed along with the undergarments,
They should be boiled for 20 minutes/ if not possible then dirty clothes should be steamed with iron throughly before and after washing.
