9 Months Old Baby Suffering With Black Chunks In Diarrhea

My 9 month old baby is really sick with a cold, and Just had bad diarrhea , but the only thing is it had Black chunks that looked very simular to coffee beans, it was also the worst smelling diaper I have had yet, What could it be?? Could it be blood in his stool?? Also he has been in pain, any suggestions??

Yes the black chunks & worse smell point to blood in stools ;it is a upper GI bleed .Please consult a paediatrician for examination & treatment .
