Adverse Reaction To Chlorthadlidone And Lisinopril. Suffering Systemic Lupus And Hypertension. Prescribed Nifedipine. Would There Be Side Effects?
Hi! Caucasian female, 46, hx Systemic Lupus. SEVERE adverse reaction to Chlorthalidone, now adverse reaction to Lisinopril. BP is labile, usu low 100's over 60's diastolic but occas skyrockets to 190's over 100's diastolic with severe pain or stress. Should next BP drug be ARB? Dr has Rx Nifedipine. Frankly, I'm worried.
Hi and thanks for the query, It is very difficult to actually predict side effects or any reactions to arise from the use of drugs. The most important thing at this point in time for you I suggest is for you to take your drugs with lots of caution. You might have to report any unusual feelings or symptoms you experience while taking the drugs to your doctor. Nifedipine is of a different drug class, and cross reactions with the other drugs has not been described. You need not bother much as you take the drug. take it with caution and report any unusual findings to your doctor. Thanks and kind regards
