Amoebiasis

hi, my son is diagnosed with Amoebiasis the drug of choice is Cotrimoxazole. Is it ok that the drug of choice is Cotrimoxazole not Metronidazole? His only 9 months old

Hi.. Cotrimoxazole,an antifungal can be used for the treatment of amoebiasis.. Though the drug of choice is metronidazole or tinnidazole.. If the condition is not improving, a discussion with your doctor to change to latter drug would help...
