Any Suggestion For Kid Suffering From Vomiting, Smelly/yellow/watery Diarrhea, Chesty Cough?

My 20 months old toddler, after seeing one of my friend's child who was coughing heavily and after eating chicken with eggs at a friend's house last Thursday, she had started vomiting continuously. So, I took her to the emergency clinic on the same night and they gave her IV and once her vomiting stopped they released her the next day. Unfortunately, on Saturday she started having smelly, yellow and watery diarrhea. Hence, on Sunday I took her to the same clinic and doctor told me that it was normal to have diarrhea after vomiting. However, it didn't stop and she started coughing as well. So, on Tuesday I took her to the same clinic. This time, another doctor gave her antibiotic called "Supprax 100, 60ml" to be taken every 24 hours for 7 days. It is now Friday, one week passed since she was ill and she still has smelly, yellow and muddy, sticky stool. By the way, she has not been eating and she is drinking only a little water. I am also breastfeeding her. Could you advise me please on what to do, as she looks very tired and weak and now have a chesty cough too. Last year, during this time, she was bronchitis and had to take antibiotics and Ventolin. Many thanks in advance and Kind Regards, Ebru Romero

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood your concerns.
Smelly, muddy, sticky stool is definitely indicative of an intestinal infection and hence I would advise your the following:
Send stool for routine, microscopy, culture and sensitivity tests.
May change over to another antibiotic From Supprax.
It may be a viral too but does not last so much.
Also needed is probiotics and multivitamins, may be therapeutic dosages of Vitamin A and D.
Give banana and curds/yogurt.
I find this answer helpful
