Are Nilmez DP And Montek LC Tablets Safe Long Term?

Hi I have a problem of rigouros coughing and acidity. Due to combination of this I am asked to take a Nilmez DP and Montek LC tablet daily. Its been 3 months since I am taking these tablets. Is it safe to take these tablets for longer duration or lifetime? If I miss the tablet I cough a lot and it leads to vomitting. as soon as I take Montek LC coughing stops.

Hi,

Safety of Omeprazole and Domperidone (Nilzem -DP) is well established. Over prolonged duration (means more than 6 months), you need to taper dose, switch over to antacids, in long term, it causes bone weakening. Montek LC long term safety is good, very rarely it causes vasculitis (those used tablets more than 15 to 20 yrs).

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
