Are Headache, Weakness, Nausea, Vomiting And Lightheadedness Side Effects Of Taking Prazosin?

My husband takes prazosin 1mg, three at bedtime for nightmares. He is having bad headache, tiredness, weakness, nausea, vomiting, light headedness. He is a veteran with PTSD and goes to the VA Clinic, and he has told them about, but no help. I am going to VA Monday to tell them again about this.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Though Prazosin often does not have any side effects, it can have all the side effects you mentioned, and in your husband's case, I would suspect it to be the cause.

I would notify your doctor as soon as possible as you stated, and it should be OK to stop taking it in the meantime. I hope that answers your question, please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns I can help with.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
