Are High Blood Pressure And Low Sodium Problems Serious For An 84-year-old Woman?

My mom is 84, her doctor told her she was not concerned if her BP was 160/82. We have been checking it at home and got a reading 158/92. Is this bad? Mom also has low sodium. Last check was 121. Is she in more danger with both high blood pressure and low sodium? I know the low sodium is a serious health issue.

Hello,
The high blood pressure is somewhat of a concern but not an emergency. The low sodium is more serious. The cause for this needs to be found and corrected as soon as possible.
Regards
