Are Irregular Periods And Heavy Bleeding With A Fast Heavy Flow After Sexual Activity Normal For Perimenopause At 46?

I'm 46 and have always had a normal menstrual cycle, two months ago I was 10 days late and on my first day I had an extremely heavy flow. last month my cycle was normal. this month I was 8 days late and a normal flow on my first day. on the second day I was engaged in sexual activity and felt a strange flow, the result was an extremely high amount of deep red blood with a fast heavy flow. this continued for approx 30 mins. Would this be normal for peri-menapause?

Hi. this is not normal for peri menopause. You can have irregular bleeding but need evaluation for heavy flow. Get one TVS (internal scan) to rule out the possibility of fibroid or endometrial hyperplasia or polyp or abnormal uterine bleeding.
Thanks.
