Hi,
Thank you for your query,
Repeated cold may be due to frequent exposure to cold causing viruses and getting the cold or due to having
allergic rhinitis which may be seasonal or through out the year.
Calpol contains
paracetamol and it works for fever and not indicated in cold unless there is associated fever is there.
And in cold there is no need for antibiotic as most of the common cold is caused by viruses and antibiotic is not required.
Oral antihistamines like cetirizine or
chlorpheniramine will help to decrease running nose and for nose block you can give nasal drops.
If it is due to allergic rhinitis long acting antihistamines and montelukast and steroid
nasal spray will be helpful with avoiding any culprit allergen.
So be in regular follow up with your
Pediatrician to advise your child a proper medication.
Hope i have answered your query.
