Been Bleeding, Had Irregular Period. Why Am I Bleeding For So Long?

I have had 3 kids , the youngest is 12, im 45 years old, have had normal periods all my life,, January started having irregular periods, it lasted for 30 days, but no pain,, then it stopped for 18 days, came back and bled for 42 days, it stopped from april to august and then august 24 I have been bleeding again, still, but not heavy, one pad a day at most,, still no pain, wondering why bleeding so long

Hi,
From hisstory it appears that you are in premenoposal age.
At this age there is some hormonal imbalance resulting in irregularity of period, late or early, more or less.
This might remain till menopause.
consult your Gynaec and get examined.
Ultra sound will help to rule out any pathology in uterus.
