Bitten By Dog,started The Vaccination Course But In The Mean Time The Dog Died So Is It Safe?

Im Maxim John fonseca, 15 yrs old, last December 26, 2013, dog bite me, so that i have immediate taken my vaccination of RABIPUR made of NOVARTIS on December 27, 2013. However on January 1, 2014 the dog died. my second vaccine was Jan 2, 2014 and the third dose was January 6, 2014 and the fourth doze will be on January 28, 2014. Doc, i want to know if im safe for rabies. thank you.

1. Recommended Schedule for giving RABIPUR in post exposure is 1st day, 3rd day, 1 week, 2 week, 1 month i.e. 0,3,7,14,28 which is what we follow, so Calculating the Details provided by you following points are worth mentioning

i. December 26 to December 27 can be included as day 1, which means 2nd dose was schedule for 31st December [but again Dosing schedule can vary from Country to country] and if the Dog died in between even then according to your Dosing Schedule you are completely safe, but in order to alleviate your Anxiety you can Consult your Attending Doctor for the same.
