Black Stool, Nausea And Headache. Do I Have A Urinary Tract Infection?

Hi,
I am a 22 year old female. I have been having frequent liquid black poop, nausea, and a headache today. Yesterday it felt like a had really bad urinary tract infection but I drank a lot of cranberry juice and water and the pain is gone. But I still have the symptoms today of liquid black poop and a headache. Please help.

Hi,
Black coloured stools usually means that you are having melena, it commonly occurs due to bleeding in your upper gastro-intestinal tract.
There are several causes for melena, with the most common being peptic ulcers. Other medical causes of melena include gastritis, esophageal varices, and Mallory-Weiss syndrome.
To confirm the diagnosis your doctor will most likely order one of the following tests to be done - endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancretography, upper GIT endoscopy, colonoscopy or angiography.
I hope this helped.
