Bleeding After Menopause. D&C Done. Hysterectomy Suggested. Why?

I am concerned about this problem I am having with menapause. My primary told me I was post menapause through a blood test last year, during which I had no cycle for a year. This year however my cycle began again,so I went to a gyn for an exam,of course he said I needed a Dnc. My thoughts were that my cycle would go away but even after the dnc I am still having a period. I am afraid something is wrong still, and my gyn wants me to have a hysterectomy. I am skeptical, why after a dnc would u suggest surgery in the same year?

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
1-2 years after menopause there may be bleeding , so this is not a cause of concern.
This is absolutely normal.

The best way is to consult one more gynaecologist and get in ultrasound of uterus and if any disease ( pathology) than proceed accordingly.
Good luck.
