Breast Lumpectomy. Diagnosed As Fiboadenosis. Advice?
Yes Plz, i am pathologist and i have acase of breast lumpectomy, it's clinically diagnosed as giant fibroadenoma, grossly measures 9x7x4 cm, rounded well circumscribed and encapsulated , microscopically it shows preserved popular pattern in about 70%, with adenosis, collagenous spherulosis, apocrine metaplasia and marked hyalinosis, so i want to diagnosed it as fiboadenosis, but the gross is not going with it

Welcome to healthcaremagic madam. I understand you are confused now. In some cases, Fibroadenoma can be more than 10 cm in size madam. If the histology shows fibroadenomatous changes, definitely it is Fibroadenosis. Due to hormone influence, it may grow bigger. Please cross check with Surgeon regarding how it clinically diagnosed. Whatever may be the size of tumour, Histological changes are confirmatory.
