Hi, I had my period at the beginning of this month and I had unprotected sex valentines day and the day after, exactly a week later i saw a brown discharge and found it weird because I never spot in between periods and my period comes like clock work, it s now gone. I took an ept and it came out negative I m not due for my next period for a few days and I m freaking out , is it a cyst , STD ,pregnant ? Help
Brown discharge after one week of unprotected sex is mostly suggestive of implantation bleeding.
Here, you need to undergo one blood test for beta hcg and TVS scan to rule out possible conception. Early home pregnancy test is less significant.
Other reasons are old endometrial tissue, pelvic or vaginal infection, hormonal imbalance, stress etc. Kindly, consult with your gynecologist after undergoing above test reports for further management.
