Brown, Liquid Anal Discharge. Passing Loose Stools. Clear Bowel Cancer Test. Need For Worry?

For the last 2 weeks I have been having a brown liquid anal discharge when I pass wind and have only been passing loose stools until this morning when I had a normal bowel movement . I have always had a problem with opening my bowels but have had a bowel cancer test in the last 6 months which proved clear. Is there anything to be worried about. I look forward to your reply. Thankyou.

Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
I am Dr.Ratnakar Kini and I am pleased to assist you.

You have not mentioned about your age and what tests have been for bowel cancer.
Since you are having loose stools for nearly two weeks now, I suggest a stool test be done for evaluation. If you are more than 50 years of age and if there is family history of bowel cancer, a colonoscopy test may be done.
Regards,
Dr.Ratnakar Kini
