Bruise Like Red Color, Muscle Pulling Feeling, Paining. Had A Fall. Should I Meet A Doctor?
Hi we had a huge rainstorm today and the drain out side was open and I slipped and one leg fell in and I hit my upper thigh on the outer side hard, there was an instant bruise like a red colour, very tender all over my thigh with a bump and it happened hours ago, if I move certain ways it feels like my muscle pulling in separate directions, and I can't sleep with the pain. should I get it checked out?
Hi, thanks for writing to HCM. From the description, I think it should be a soft tissuecontusion resulting in hematoma. This will resolve spontaneously within 3 weeks. At times it may get infected especially in DIABETIC persons.
* apply an elastic compression stocking around the thigh * Ice compressions for atleast 15 minutes once in every 2-3 hours * analgesic and antiinflammatory medicines
If you are more worried and concerned , approach your treating doctor.
Hope this information is helpful. Good day
