Bump On Head After Injury. Pain Near Head When Raising Eyebrows
the back of my head (near the top) hit the floor yesterday and now I feel a small bump (around the size of a large marble). I'm a little concerned because a month ago I was assaulted and punched in the head in the same region. The severe pain from the assault was starting to wane a bit although the pain was still significant when any kind of pressure was applied to the site of the head injury. Now whenever I raise my eyebrows I can feel the pain near the top of my head.
Hi thanks for your question. The bump you have developed at the back of your head after a fall on the floor could be a small haematoma (collection of blood under skin and muscle). It could be more painful because of reasons that it is a super added injury on already injured part. Pain on lifting of the eyebrow could be due to fact that skull skin is firmly adherent to underlying muscle which is a single sheath and it is pulled at injured site while lifting eye brow. There is nothing to worry. You need a course of antibiotic and analgesic anti inflammatory drugs (pain killer), Hope fully it will get settled down in a week time. Hope this answers your question
