Bump On Knee After Injury. Now Ankle Turning Dark, Soreness. How Long Will Bruise Take To Disappear?

Hello.. About a week ago, I hit my leg below the knee and a big bump formed but that has almost completely went away. The concern I have is the bruises that have all down my leg and especially around the ankle and turning part of the top of the foot dark. It's sore just a little bit but not much pain. I would like to know how long does the bruises and dark areas will go away?

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

From your description, looks like you sustained a trivial injury which left some bruises to your skin.

You might be having sensitive skin which is soft and that is the reason of the bruises persisting for long. I don't think there is any need to worry for a hematoma as you have clearly mentioned that the bump almost went away.

Your bruises are healing and may take a while before the skin becomes normal again.
