Bumps On Fingers, Painful After Touching, Cold Sores Every Month. What Could Be This? Suggestions?

I have these bumps on my fingers that hurt when I touch them or when my phone touches them, etc. They aren't visible, I can only tell they're bumps when I touch them. I get cold sores every month or two and I take valacyclovir episodically to make them go away. I was wondering if they could be from stress like the cold sores, or what else they could be. They are very annoying and I just want them to go away. My email is YYYY@YYYY

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The pain and bumps on your fingers are likely to be due to affection of nerves with the viral infection. This is not likely to be related to stress. You can consult a neurologist for the same.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
