Can Clobetasole Lotion And Biotin 5 Mg Tablets Help Reduce Hair Loss?

Hello!!! i am a 24 year old male suffering from hair loss from past two years.My hairs have thinned out and a big patch appears in the middle part of my head.I live alone and so cannot have the proper diet,i have lost weight also, last year it was 78 and now it is 70. I have consulted a dermatologist who prescribed me clobetasole lotion, biotin 5 mg tablets.Kindly suggest me what to do.

Thanks for the query. I understand your concern.
From your description you seem to have Aloepasia areata--& the treatment offered suffices to start with. Clobetasol is steroid preparation controls the basic cause of the condition ( auto immune condition ) while Biotin helps normal health & growth of hair.
So the treatment with normal care of hair( cleaning,combing,massaging with the medicine) causes gradual control over the cause & enhances normal hair growth.
So a patient care & treatment over several months 2-4 months start showing +ve effect. Please follow it & consult the dermatologist for needful investigations & change in treatment- in case there is no sign of improvement over 3 months of treatment OR if the lesion increases in spite of treatment.
