Can Crohn's Disease Flaring Be Controlled?

I have crohn's disease and am currently flaring. For the past 2 months, every now and then there will be sacks that float in my feces. The first time they were red with brown fluid in them. The next time they were small and black with brown fluid inside. This time they are bright red and have a thick white substance inside. I am 25, 5' 8", female, and 220 lbs.

Thanks for asking to healthcaremagic.I understand your query.
Brief answer: Yes.
Detailed answer:The acute flares can be controlled with a course of corticosteroid therapy(with budesonide or prednisolone) usually prescribed for 6 to 8 weeks to induce remission.I would advise you to visit your gastroenterologist for the above prescription after careful assessment.Hope this information helps you.Take care.
