Can Fortzaar Be Taken Instead Of Hyzaar Forte?

Hi, I would like to enquire about a blood pressure medication known as Hyzaar Forte 100/25mg, currently mother is getting this medication from her regular doctor to treat her blood pressure, i friend actually recommend me another brand which is known as Fortzaar 100/25mg, i am wondering if i can change to this instead. Any difference because the pharmist actually told us it is the same medication.

You can switch to the other brand Fortzaar but why do you want to switch at all.
It would not affect the blood pressure levels achieved because ultimately the drug is the same in same amount.
But it is not always so, in many other cases the funtion of the drug is affected by preparation. There can be changes in effect due to change of base, additives, size of particles, rate of release of drug from the formulation all can affect the efficacyof the drug.
