Can I Continue Taking Eptoin Instead Of Gardenal And Encorate Chrono To Avoid Epilepsy Attack?

I had epilepsy attack 15 yrs back and medicated with eptoin and stopped and did not have attack for 10 yrs. Now the i took gardenal 60 mg and went without attack 1 1/2 yr now the doctor has given encorate chrono 200 I still feel I had good control in Eptoin. What should be done now

first of all if u don't have seizures for 15 yrs then u don't have to take any anti epileptic. Get ur epilepsy evaluation done in form of MRI brain 3 T epilepsy protocol and EEG....if everything is normal then medicines can be tapered off...
