Can I Take An Aleve With The Azo?

hello there..i am taking azo for a possible recurring uti..the dr is waiting on my culture results to presc an antibiotic..i am still in a lot of pain with pressure...can i take an aleve with the azo? i also take prevacid otc for reflux...thank you..mandi kay

Hi thanks for contacting HCM...

As you have recurrent UTI infection your treating doctor wants to give you specific antibiotic according to sensitivity report....

So wait for culture report.....

And here azo drug that you are using is not antibiotic , This drug given for relieving pain and other urinary symptom until your antibiotic therapy started....

No need for taking naproxen that you are talking about ....

Meanwhile take lots of fluid ....

Fruits more .....

Excess spicy food avoided...

Take cranberry juice also....

You have not mentioned your gender.
If male rule out prostate problem also as recurrent UTI present .

Consult nephrologists for this.

Take care ...
