Can Levothyroxine Cause Nosebleed And Random Body Bruising?

I have been taking Levothyroxine for about three days now for hypothyroidism and today. I got a nosebleed and I ve never had one before and I ve noticed random bruising on my body. I have not recently fallen. Could this be a side effect of the medication and if so what is causing it.

HI

Thanks for posting your query to Healthcaremagic.

NO Levothyroxine doesn't causes nose bleed . It does increases the sensation of heat if the dose is high and too much of heat can cause nose bleeding . But still nose bleed after taking Levothyroxine is unheard.

My advice is to get yourself examined by a ENT doctor , also get your blood pressure checked as high blood pressure can cause nose bleeds.

Hope this information was useful to you.
Any clarifications feel free to ask .
