Can Seroma Recur After Undergoing Breast Surgery And How To Treat It?

I had breast surgery 6 weeks ago and I developed seroma. How long does it last. The new Dr wants to put a tube in again and have the surgery over again to relieve the fluid. He said I have to have it removed or I will never get rid of the fluid. Is that true?

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
You have to go under the procedure of total mastectomy if this is not done yet, after that the whole breast should be sent for histopathological examination, then according to the final report treatment should be given, if this is already being done then only chemotherapy is the best option you have to go through, hope this information helps you, take care and have nice day.
