Dear Dr. Prasad. I had breast reconstruction in February 2012, I developed a seroma when at two weeks the surgeon took my drainage bottle out of my stomach, I was still putting out 50 cc pr day. Within 2 days I blew up to the point of my stitches almost busting, The Dr. has done nothing but encourage me to do leg lifts, sit up's & wear a girdle. His associate tried to drain it a few months later to no avail. Here I am 2 years later, on disability & still suffering. My question is this, Would you take a drainage bottle out while expressing 50 cc ? Also , if I were your patient, what would you have done ?
