Hi,I am Diwashish Biswas (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was taking my nightly pills and I took my simvastatin, 20 mg, by mistake. Only supposed to take in the morning. I also took my sertraline (generic for Zoloft) again---100 mg. Only supposed to take in morning also. I never do this and wasn't thinking. Will I be okay?
There is no documented harmful interaction between these two medicines.
Simvastatin drug is usually taken at bedtime or with an evening meal. Whereas, Sertraline drug is best taken in the morning. However, if taken along with Simvastatin it will not cause any harmful interaction.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali
