Can Terbinafine Tablet Treat Skin Infection?

I HAVE A INFECTION IN MY SKIN, AND DOCTOR HAD PRESCRIBED TERBINAFINE TABLET. I AM TAKING THIS TABLET FOR THE LAST FEW MONTHS, BUT THE INFECTION IS NOT CURED PROPERLY. INFACT, WHEN I STARTED TAKING FOOD SUCH AS EGG, MUTTON, BEEF ETC. THE INFECTION GET EVOLVED. WHAT IS YOUR SUGGESTION ON THIS REGARD.

Hello,

terbinafine is an antifungal drug. If there's a fungus, it's supposed to eradicate it. If - on the contrary - you see no improvement and you've experienced worsening with certain food then an allergic type of reaction can be suspected. Fungi are not supposed to be affected by food.

You'd better contact a dermatologist for appropriate testing. There are methods that the dermatologist can confirm a fungal infection, so you'll be sure about it (or exclude it).
