Can A 9 Year Old Eat Chicken In High Fever ?

Can a child eat BBQ chicken if he has a 100 fever? My 9 year old son has a fever around 100, no other infection, no vomiting or diarrhea either. He wants to eat BBQ chicken (like Chicken tikka) is it okay to give him?
