Can A Bat Bite Cause Rabies?

Hi Doctor, a bat flew into my room last night at 4am. When I was awake, it was crawling on my right foot before shrugged it off? I ve heard that bat bites are not painful and they are known to carry rabies. I think you may understand my concern. Should I be worried?

Hi,
Bat has very sharp teeth and the bites are hardly noticeable. Finding it crawling on your foot should be considered as an exposure and you must immediately take shots for rabies vaccination. This is what i would advise.

Regards.
