Can A Swollen Lymph Node In Right Groin Cause Digestive Problem Like Constipation And Appetite Loss?
I had what I thought was an inguinal hernia but when it was checked the doctor did not feel a hernia. He told me that it may be a swollen lymph node and referred me to a GI doctor to better evaluate. There is inflammation near my right groin, minor. I had appendicitis April of 2013 was treated with antibiotics. I've lost my appetite and am regularly constipated. Appetite has slowed over the last month with some weight loss from that, constipation for a while now. It's also difficult to pass gas at times. The reason I went in for a hernia was because of the minor inflammation and what seemed like a mass near my groin. Can a swollen lymph node cause digestive problems?

Abdominal lymph nodes (dependent on their size) affect serious health problems.
As large it is, as many serious health problems are caused.
Lymph node press the organs near it, in your case it press and block the intestine and ascedente colon.
Your problem with appendicitis is caused from lymph node.
I think that need a diagnose for the type of lymph node.
First of all you need an abdominal Ct scan and if it is necessary you have to make an abdominal laparscopy.
I think you need a surgical procedure if the lymph node is operable.
Contact an oncologist-surgeon.
