Can Chest Heaviness And Anxiety Be Attributed To Panic Attacks?
Hi i am 35 year of age, having history of panic attacks, i have get me through check up e.g. stress echo and blood tests. i have fatty liver and elevated cholestrol for which i have taken medicine. my echo stress test was fine. but i feel occassionaly uneasiness like haviness in chest, aniexty and this happens in season change. whether is should go for further check ups
You have history of panic attacks and you underwent stress Echo and other tests. Except elevated cholesterol all tests came normal.
The symptoms like anxiety and weird feeling especially during season change could be occurring during seasonal affective disorder (SAD). Though complete evaluation by a psychiatrist in needed to confirm diagnosis. Such symptoms could progress to depression.
Medicines like antidepressants in low dose as Sertraline, Escitalopram have nice results. The drug will help in panic also. For symptomatic relief medicines like propranolol or low dose benzodiazepines have good results. Consult a psychiatrist for detailed prescription.
Thanks
