Can Constant Exposure To Hiv Patients Bring The Disease To Me Aswell?
Hi, I have been constantly exposed to Patients with TB in the past (who were also HIV+) I was providing care for them whilst in Africa. 2004 I had repeated attacks of malaria and one of the docs alluded that it mya be HIV though i was not sexually active. I am 53 now and I have been having a very dry cough which is now becoming painful. I also have swollen lymph nodes, one on the neck and a massive one on my ankle as well as in my armpit. After seeing a doctor he took an xray which he said looked clear but i have been referred to a specialist hospital. The doctor was almost certain it was TB though. Does that necessarily mean i have HIV?
Hi. you don't have chance of hiv. Hiv can spread by sexual contact, blood to blood contact or from maternal to child. so you don't have any chance. However may have tuberculosis. Because it can be spread by inhalation route. If you have enlarge lymphnode then go for fnac study. Sputum examination etc. Consult specialists and take treatment accordingly. Thanks for using health care magic.
