Can Diabetic Shoes Help Burning Feet And Painful Buttock After Lower Lumbar Fusion?

11/14/2014 had a lower lumbar fusion, cage and rods installed after aprox,8 years of torment. Have some small amount of burning in feet and pain in left buttock which has slowly reduced. Wondering if diabetic shoes will help with this as I can t wear anything tight as I used to wear constuction boots. Lyrica helps but needs some help.

Hi
Welcome to healhcaremagic
After going through your query I concluded that you are having lumbar spine fusion along with diabetic foot. After operation you have much relief. You are taking lyrica and your response is very good. You can continue with it. You want to ask that whether diabetic shoes will help in diabetic pain and gluteal pain. I think these shoes will not have any benefit in pain relief. But these are helpful in prevention of diabetic ulcer. You can take analgesic such as ibuprofen for pain relief. You can discuss your doctor about it. Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then please don't hesitate to write to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
