hi sir, i am 44years old wight 104,from the past 1year i am taking met xl 50mg in the morning and met xl 25 in the night, alog with it telsartan h in morning and telsartan active in night, and tonact tg at night . my bp is normal now can i continue with this medicine or can i lower the mg s i am gaining whight

Hello,

I advise you to taper Metolar as it is the only medicine to cause weight gain.

If you stop it altogether your BP can shoot up so it's better to slowly taper it and keep a regular check on your BP.

Most importantly exercise and proper diet is what you need and then you won't have to take any medicine. Consult your concerned doctor and get your medication tapered.
