Can I Go For Unrelated Matched Donor Transplantation In Case Of Thalassemia Intermedia?

Hi, my daughter has suffered from thalassemia intermedia & she is on regular blood transfusion treatment as well as iron chelation treatment.She has no sibling match donor for bone marrow transplantation,can we do unrelated matched donor transplantation in mumbai.she is 6 yr. old.

Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
If sibling donor match is not available you can go for matched unrelated bone marrow transplant.
Because it is Thalassemia intermedia whether bone marrow transplant is required or not the transplnt surgeon and haemotologist will decide.
