Can I Take Amoxicillian For Sinus Congestion, Runny Nose, Dry Cough, Sore Throat And Diarrhea?

I have sinus congestion, runny nose, a dry cough, sore throat and diahrea. Yesterday I felt very clammy, hot and almost passed out. My friend also is sick. He went to the doctor and they gave him a C pack. (don't know what that is) I don't feel sick enough to go to the doctor and was wondering...I have some amoxiccillian left over from when I was sick before (500 mg exp 09/14) and was wondering if I can just start taking them.

Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

I have gone through your query regarding sinus congestion, running nose, dry cough and sore throat. You have antibiotic amoxicillin and interested in it's use now.

I would like to tell you that antibiotic should not be taken arbitrarily and should always be taken as per sensitivity test. Secondarily you are having diarrhea as well and during diarrhea it is not a drug of choice.

For getting relief you may take now-

1- Tab Paracetamol.

2- Anti histaminic.

3- Decongestant.

4- Warm saline gargling.

5- antibiotic .
