Can Intake Of Adderall Cause Abdominal Pain?

my son was started on adderall approx 1 1/2-2 weeks ago, starting on 5mg for 7 days and recently increased to 10mg. For the past 2 days he has been complaining of abdominal pain not isolated to just ona area. No fever of other symptoms of the flu, decreased BM but not constipated. The pain seems to wax and wain throughout the day, getting worse arround dinner time which is also around the time the adderall woud be wearing off. Could this be from the adderall. Motrin or tylenol seems to help for a short time, prune juice helped his BM this evening. His abdomen is soft, non-distended, stool also soft, no diarrhea nausea or vommiting. Could this be from the adderall or do you think he may just have a GI virus?

I really appreciate your concern for your son the given history here is suggestive of some functional condition and the abdominal pain that your son has may not be due to the medicine that he is taking even if you have some doubt then you can stop this medicine to get it confirmed nothing to loose in stop the pill, hope this information helps you, have a nice day.
